Jen
Evendale-Blue Ash Pet Hospital

Hello, I'm Jen! I'm the practice manager of Evendale Blue Ash Pet Hospital, and I've been here since 2019.

Can you share more about your background?

My journey in veterinary medicine started back in 2008. I graduated as a registered veterinary technician from what was then called Raymond Walters, which is now UC Blue Ash.

After graduation, I worked in a general practice for a few years before moving on to a specialty referral hospital, where I worked in internal medicine for several years. While working in internal medicine, I did some extra training and education, and I obtained my veterinary specialty certificate in small animal internal medicine.

I became the supervisor of internal medicine at the referral and specialty hospital, overseeing a couple of different departments, including oncology and cardiology. My experience with management and supervisory skills at the referral hospital led me to apply for the position of practice manager at Evendale Blue Ash Pet Hospital.

What do you enjoy about working in the practice?

As a practice manager, I love organizing and creating efficient workflows. Taking a chaotic day full of patients who need a lot of care and organizing it into a checklist brings me a lot of joy. As the practice manager, I am here for our clients and team members. I am open to feedback and suggestions and am committed to helping the team grow, learn, and improve the overall way that we take care of pets.

What are your hobbies outside of work?

Outside of work, I'm a creative person. I went to art school prior to becoming a registered veterinary technician. I also love to travel, kayak, hike, and take trips with my husband whenever we can.
